No personal contact details
A work email address is enough. No one has to give out a mobile number, and there is no account to create with a personal address.
Control over who gets in
Set how many people can join, a date the link closes on, and whether you approve each person before they are added. A link shared outside the team cannot fill the exchange with people outside it.
Pairs that should not match
Conflict rules let you keep two people apart, such as a manager and their report or a pair who matched last year.
Organizers who are not participating
An office manager or EA often runs the exchange without being in it. Mark yourself as not participating and you are kept out of the draw, the counts and the wishlists.

Yes, and for a team it is usually easier. You add yourself, share one link in the team channel, and everyone else enters their own name and work address. You decide how many can join and when the link closes, and you draw names when you are ready.
You set a limit on how many people can join, so a link shared further cannot fill the exchange. You can close it at any moment, or replace it, which stops the old one working while leaving everyone already in with their own link intact. You can also turn on approval, so no one is added until you say so.
Add or remove them and reset the draw. If a change leaves the draw broken, the organizer sees a banner explaining exactly what is wrong with a one-click reset, and no one else is shown a draw that cannot complete.
